Introducing
NLST

There’s often a perception that stylish designs aren’t the most practical. As one of our newest brands in menswear this season, military-inspired label NLST proves otherwise.
Brought to you by the elusive team behind American denim and leather specialists R13, NLST’s design ethos centres around functionality and sustainability. Constructing its seasonal collection from surplus Japanese sateen, the label explores modern cut-and-sew styles by reusing military fabrics, with an added injection of playfulness throughout. Toying with palettes of green, grey, khaki, navy and taupe, vintage fabrics are tailored in innovative ways, presenting a contemporary yet sophisticated repertoire for Spring Summer 2015.
For the warmer season, classic military outerwear pieces see bold remakes. Leather and nylon bomber jackets are slimmed down for a more street-ready look, while button-down chambrays and “ARMY” tees provide casual options. For cooler evenings, M65 jackets and blazers are designed to be layered over crewnecks and button-down shirts. Classic cargo and utility pants have drop crotches, while quarter-length shorts are finished with elastic hems – offbeat design details that separate NLST from your usual weekend wear. Look out for standout items including the one-piece flight suit overalls, with army-surplus stitching and pocket construction for an authentic military finish.
